I’m running first and foremost because of my daughter.  Last school year she served on the board as the student representative and introduced me to questionable actions she was observing.  This led to me doing my own research.  In March of 2025 I began looking at historic data and attending the monthly meetings.  By August, I declared my intent to run for office and began work on my campaign.

 

I strongly believe the current board majority has cost the district unnecessary litigation fees, created a toxic work environment for both staff and students, and are unfit to serve as non-partisan officials in the public school system. 

 

Our district does not belong on the front page of the San Diego Union Tribune (Sunday 6/15/25 edition).  It is time for a change; I am running because I believe I am a trustee my community can trust.  With my collaborative leadership style, I believe I can strengthen our existing programs to elevate and prepare our students for future success.
